In a bizarre collaboration that defies traditional forecasts, the game developer has revealed an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Mission Disclosed

According to the authorized release, "An unusual confrontation pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where rumors of banned practices and monstrous changes echo through the obscurity." The plot features a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a secret sect.

The mission centers on "peculiar trials and a terrifying adversary" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Settings and Transformations

The trailer highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview finishes with a powerful scene showing a character, presumably the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Rewards and Additional Material

Players who finish the mission will obtain an unique katana in addition to numerous artifacts secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
